Free notes of Polymers short revision part 1

 Polymers:

  • The fibres have strong hydrogen bond.
  • Examples of elastomers :- buna-s , buna - N , neoprene.
  • Examples of the fibres:-polyamide ( nylon 6,6) , polyester ( terelyne).
  • Concept of thermoplastic:- which substance which is soft on heating and hardening on cooling.
  • Examples of thermoplastic are polythene , polystyrene , polyvinyl .
  • Thermoplastic are not heavily branched.
  • Trend of force of attraction i.e bond attraction : fibre > thermoplastic > elastomers.
  • Thermosetting plastic are heavily branched.
  • Examples of thermosetting plastic are bakelite , urea - formaldehyde resins etc.
  • Thermosetting plastic are not soften on heating .
  • Addition or chain growth polymers are having free radicals mechanism. In these mechanisms the initiator use are benzoyl peroxide , tert butyl peroxide , acetyl peroxide are used.
  • For formation of Low density polyethene peroxide is use as the catalyst .
  • Low density polymer (LDP) are chemically inerts and they are poor conductor of electricity ,so they are used as insulators .
  • High density polymer is form in presence of the zigler natta catalyst . The zigler natta catalyst is the triethyl aluminium and titanium tetrachloride .
  • Polyacryonitrile is use for substitution of wool and also use for preparation of Orlon fibre.
  • Terelyene is a condensation polymer  and it has monomers are ethylene glycol , terephatahallic acid.
  • Chloroprene is converted in to neoprene in presence of oxygen benzoyl peroxide.
  • Some important structures and reactions:
  • 1) terelyene:
    2) nylon 6,6

     3) nylon 6

      4) PHBV:

Free notes of the operating system some imp questions

 1. ALU  2. STACK POINTER 3. PROGRAM COUNTER 4. INSTRUCTION REGISTER AND DECODER ALU ( ARITHMATIC AND LOGIC UNIT ) It is 8 bit unit  In this arithmetic and logical operation are carried out . ALU contain the binary adder to perform addition substracion by 2’s complement method Data is supplied by memory devices and input ouput devices The result is typically stored in the accumulator. STACK POINTER:- Stack poiointer is a 16 bit register which contain the address of top of stack With the help of incrementer and decrementer stack pointer perform their work The stack pointer is incremented when data is push  The stack pointer is decrementd when data is pop. INSTRUCTION REGISTER AND DECODER :- During the instruction fetch, the first 8 bit of instruction is transfer to the 8 bit instruction register The content of instruction register are available to the instruction decoder The output of decoder get by timing signals, ALU & data buffer. PROGRAM COUNTER:- Program coun...

What is microprocessor and its function.

WHAT IS MICROPROCESSOR ? • Microprocessor is semiconductor multipurpose , programmable logic device that reads binary instruction from storage device that is memory . • It accept the binary data as a input and process that data according to the instruction and provide output. • Microprocessor are capable of performing various computing function and making decision change the sequenceof program execution. • Microprocessor can also view as integrated circuit , that contains processing capabilities of large computer . FUNCTION OF MICROPROCESSOR • To fetch decode and execute instructions • To transfer data from one block to another block • To provide control and timing signals to the whole system • It gives proper response to different external interruptionon. FIRST GENERATION ✓Intel’s 4004 was the first microprocessor available in the market . ✓It was a four bit pmos microprocessor in 1971 designed to be used in calculation . ✓In1972 intel introduced first general purpose 8 bit micro...
